about the travel A Bibliobox presentation by Wapke Feenstra during a lecture on public art at Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, on Thursday 1 February. Wapke Feenstra is an artist who works with different strategies in public space. This includes explorations of the interaction between real and virtual space (Internet). In her lecture she also presents her ‘Biblobox’ project: an itinerant platform that creates opportunities for different types of artists in rural environments. She lives and works in Rotterdam. Besides her ‘Bibliobox’, Wapke Feenstra shows some examples of her on-site projects which work interactively with websites.

Wapke Feenstra is een kunstenaar die met verschillende processen werkt in de openbare ruimte, bijvoorbeeld verkenningen van de interactie tussen de echte en de virtuele ruimte (internet). In haar lezing introduceerde Wapke ook de Bibliobox: een platform dat mogelijkheden schept voor verschillende typen kunstenaars in de rurale omgeving. Wapke Feenstra woont en werkt in Rotterdam. Naast de Bibliobox toonde Wapke een paar voorbeelden van haar interactieve websites.
 
about the host Helmut Dick is a teacher at the 'Lectorate on Art and Public Space'. He ran a programme called METEOR ART, LANDSCAPE PORN AND ARTIST GUIDES at the Art and Public Space Workshop from January till June 2007. A selected group of artists worked on an art project in a rural area near Amsterdam called 'De Venen'. They presented their results in June.

Hij was organisator van een programma genaamd METEOR ART, LANDSCAPE PORN AND ARTIST GUIDES tijdens een workshop over kunst en openbare ruimte van januari tot juni 2007. Een kleine groep kunstenaars werkte aan een kunstproject in een rurale omgeving vlakbij Amsterdam genaamd De Venen. De groep presenteerde haar resultaten in juni.
